Auto car journeys

When I was back in the saddle of driving on the A40 again through Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire countryside, I thought about a little photo project, taking images on my car journey. Before there’s an outcry of dangerous¬†driving, particularly after my near death experience on the now dreaded A40, all photo’s were taken with the camera placed in a fixed position before commencing my journey and set to take photographs in timed sequence. What emerged was mostly repetition of subject and style, both blurry and mundane, which you can take as social commentary on the effects of commuting in the modern world, but also the nature of results, when you take away the human finger from the shutter. All photographs were taken with the Ricoh GXR.
