The new X man on the block from Fuji is released into the urban jungle, in the guise of the X100T. T stands for tremendous, or terrific I imagine, or something mystically Japanese meaning, like flowing water, technology evolves… It’s dressed up like my original X100, but refinements are what Fujifilm like doing, so there are tweaks and nudges, and improvements in all areas, including the new sensor design that comes from the XT-1, and most notably the clever new dual viewfinder, which improves the use of manually focussing, by using a split-image, rangefinder-like mechanism to focus, though the electronic viewfinder, which has been improved to a 2.3m LCD screen. Read more about it from the boffins at dpreview, here.

We still await the Fuji X-Pro 2…

About Photonbox

Photonbox is a portfolio and photography blog of my work and others. The others are the great and the good, shining examples of great photography. My own work by contrast is a soft glow, but practice makes perfect…
