Every little helps

Another photograph from my theme of ‘river life’, an image of the ubiquitous plastic tesco bag washed up on the river bank, discarded like the autumn leaves from the trees. Shame it’ll still be around in the spring, unless a friendly neighbourhood eco-warrior fishes it out. Photographically though, I was drawn to the beautiful multi-colour of the leaves against the inky blue waters in the evening light, and the contrast between nature and humanity co-existing on the river. Whilst there is a serious message expressed, I think there’s a humour to the image also, albeit a wry one.
