How many black cats crossed your path?

Another cribbed image from the pages of Retronaut website (link below), which again I say (and I’ll keep saying it until you, dear reader take note!) is worth a regular visit. On todays visit for instance I found this collection of photos in Life magazine from 1961. Black cat auditions in Hollywood, for a Vincent Price movie. Such a great quirky shot of the subject, but also strong compositionally. Photographers and reviewers on forums are often taking the obligatory cat shots to test out lenses and cameras; they’re a willing (mostly) subject. I have a camera but sadly no cat… 🙁
