iMac Pro

I don’t usually post about computers, but some tech things get a mention and I thought it was interesting that Apple have finally launched a “pro” iMac, which seems to go against the philosophy of a consumer mac, which the iMac has always been ever since it appeared in its beautiful translucent Bondi Blue case. Now they’ve decided to ramp up the power…to the max…as pro users would expect, with an 18-core Xeon 27″ 5K machine.

The usual expectation of a Mac pro machine is that it’s able to be updated and expanded, which other than RAM, or at the point of purchase this machine won’t be, as with all iMacs, without invalidating your warranty. Matte screen option for photographers would be a thoughtful option too. Available¬†in December, so maybe they’ll get to that…
