I’m currently doing an online photography composition course on the Lynda.com website (Foundation in Composition), some of which is common ground, but always good to instil the ideas further and Ben Long, the author is very good. In this course he’s actually setting tasks between chapters and though not required, that is the point of a course, to engage the theory into practice.
So I thought I’d extend the idea to monthly themes for the blog starting from March, using his example, Points, as the first. He’s talking about composition points specifically, but it’s all about interpretation, and the idea being that some will be descriptive and some more conceptual. Not a new idea obviously, but always worth recycling a good one!
Just watched (on Lynda.com again – excellent content) a course on iPhone photography by Richard Hernandez, which made me think about my iPhone as more of a “legitimate” camera.
