Going through the images again from Prescott Hill Climb Autumn Classic for a monochrome photo book project, and I saw this image of this dude, geared up with his Nikon and zoom lens for the actions shots, and slung around his shoulder, a Leica M9, which he had ready, after softening up his subject. Actually, I saw him amble around all day, lugging various gear up and down the hill course. I, in essence was doing the same thing, though my kit doesn’t run to quite the same level – I had my Pentax K7 and DA* 50-135mm, which is what this shot was taken with, along with a Voigtlander Bessa R2 film rangefinder. As you can see, the driver caught me.

I’ll post a small gallery of images here soon.

About Photonbox

Photonbox is a portfolio and photography blog of my work and others. The others are the great and the good, shining examples of great photography. My own work by contrast is a soft glow, but practice makes perfect…
