Oxford Salon of Photography

The Oxford Salon of Photography is an open photography competition running for the first time this year. It welcomes submissions from the great and good…and the average. The three sections are Open (creative and monochrome), Travel, and Nature (Wildlife if you can guarantee your subject is not staged or captive). It was ambitious, but I entered into all categories. No pain, no gain, so to speak. The Nature/Wildlife section in particular will be host no doubt to some amazing images…the kind, like in my last post that require extraordinary patience, skill and resources to achieve. Mine? Well, I wandered along a riverbank…

Here is a contact sheet of my set of images that I submitted for consideration. The Oxford Salon site is here. Quick it closes today!

About Photonbox

Photonbox is a portfolio and photography blog of my work and others. The others are the great and the good, shining examples of great photography. My own work by contrast is a soft glow, but practice makes perfect…
