Red alert

On the sun drenched shores of the Isle of Wight, in Shanklin area, a man waits for the next bus, or just enjoying the sunshine. Legs protruding out from the bus shelter caught my eye – taken with the NEX 16mm, but this square crop (one of my favourites!) framed the shelter and the other street furniture. Going in closer was an option, but I loved the big open sky and ocean, and the single point of red, which I matched in the other beach image.

The beach image stood out  because of the strong line of fencing and the repitition of the circular posts and of course the point of red of the man photographing his children, wedged unseen between the posts below.
