Strange Fruit

Design guru’s Jonathon Ive and Marc Newson, who’ve masterminded Apple products and the wacky Pentax K-01 respectively, have been chained to their designer desks again to come up with a special, one off Leica M camera. The camera will be sold at auction, raising money for the Global Fund to fight AIDS, TB and Malaria. The final design owes more to an Apple aesthetic, with brushed aluminum, rounded corners and beautiful attention to detail…a trait rather popular with those clever German Leica engineers.

If I had a spare hundred grand rattling around my pockets, I might be able to afford it!

About Photonbox

Photonbox is a portfolio and photography blog of my work and others. The others are the great and the good, shining examples of great photography. My own work by contrast is a soft glow, but practice makes perfect…
