The little guy

Following on from my last post about having any camera with you, regardless of the technical quality as being the most important thing, it made me think of a photographer that I came across via Steve Huff’s website, when reading a review of the Ricoh GR III, which is a small sensor, fixed lens compact camera. Wouter Brandsma has a photoblog that showcases the benefits of a compact camera – his photography doesn’t rely on the megapixel count or full frame glory of your camera, but is much more about the photograph itself. There’s a wonderful sense of mood to all his images, whether a landscape shot or a more candid street image. I mention the Ricoh GR cameras because he is a big fan of them, for their ‘photographers interface’ and the film-like look of the captured image.

About Photonbox

Photonbox is a portfolio and photography blog of my work and others. The others are the great and the good, shining examples of great photography. My own work by contrast is a soft glow, but practice makes perfect…
