These feet are made for walking

It seems silly in some ways to keep documenting the slow progress of recovery, but small things interest small minds I’m told. Today, it was the first excursion up the road in normal shoes. Hi-tech Silver Shadow trainers in fact…basic 80’s running shoes to some, but good enough for the British marines! The orthopaedic boot hasn’t been fully retired, as its the first time I’ve not worn it outside, but it was nice to feel a bit more normal, and balanced walking up the road a little, now with just one crutch…though I still feel the occasional urge to throw it under a truck. The ankle is still swollen, painful and not moving much and doesn’t appreciate the shoe wearing, but like me, it’ll have to deal with it.

About Photonbox

Photonbox is a portfolio and photography blog of my work and others. The others are the great and the good, shining examples of great photography. My own work by contrast is a soft glow, but practice makes perfect…
